DEAFBLIND Woman On The Go With Seeing Eye Dog

Mar 15, 2026 | Medium

Yes, I am considered deaf and blind. The deaf community views hearing loss from minimal to complete deafness as deaf. I am blind with light perception (LP). I am aware of daylight. My eyes do react naturally to the bright sun and squint. It is always good to look cool in shades! LOL Wearing shades do allow my eyes to relax.

My life is full with family, work, and pets. My blessings include Rebecca, a Seeing eye guide dog. Rebecca is always ready to head out of the house whether its to work or just go for a nice walk. Rebecca loves to check out the corner where every dog stops to pee! Her nose is busy at work! I give her space to do her business.

My spiritual journey is incredible with exploring the connection to source of life and creativity. I continue to deepen my faith and develop my mediumship.

Of course, my life involves some chores. So, I must go finish vacuuming and mopping the floor. I know I will feel bettter after this is done. Then, I’m off for a good walk with rebecca. I do my mantras to bring myself into alignment with feeling joy and positivity. I also spend time talking to Rebecca. Then tonight, I’m sitting in zoom to learn from others on keeping balanced in a sometimes chaotic world. I’m a believer in taking care of my spiritual needs first so that I can be a beacon for others. Until next time! Sit in your peace for it is within.
